Congratulations, Zahra and Michael!

Zahra accepts the inaugural Diabetes Knowledge Award (DKA) awarded by the Stanford Diabetes Research Center for the most impactful, original diabetes-related publication from Stanford in 2017-2018

Recent and upcoming travels….

It has been really fun and stimulating to meet recently new colleagues and learn about great science at other institutions. In March, Mary was a faculty member in a week-long systems biology course in Innsbruck, Austria (SysBio 2018: 8th Advanced Lecture Course on Systems Biology) and also gave a seminar on March 29th at Johns Hopkins University co-hosted by the Dept. of Cell Biology and Institute of Cell Dynamics. On May 4th, Mary gave a seminar at the Solvay Workshop on “Dynamics of biological systems: Modelling genetic, signaling and microbial networks” held at The International Solvay Institutes, Universite Libre de Bruxelles, Brussels, Belgium. Mary also gave a seminar on May 14th in the Quantitative Biology Seminar Series at UC San Diego as a “Students’ choice” speaker invited by the graduate students in the UCSD Quantitative Biology PhD program.

This July, Mary will be giving seminars at The Francis Crick Institute in London, England (July 9th), as well as in the Cold Spring Harbor Course on Single Cell Analysis, Cold Spring Harbor, NY (July 12th).

Congratulations, Zahra, Michael, Stefan, and Devon!

Congratulations on the acceptance of your paper in Cell Metabolism!! Awesome work!
